MMA Junkie first reported the booking with people close to both fighters confirming that the fighters have agreed to the matchup. However, there is no official announcement from the UFC as of yet.
Neil Magny will be looking to add another win to his record after beating Li Jingliang in his last outing at UFC 248 back in March. UFC 248 was the last event the UFC held with fans in attendance before holding UFC Brasilia behind closed doors before cancelling and postponing several events due to COVID-19. Magny heads into the bout with a wealth of UFC experience under his belt having competed in the UFC’s octagon 21 times since joining the promotion through The Ultimate Fighter Season 16.
Rocco Martin is also looking to string together his second win on the bounce after beating Ramazan Emeev in his last fight back in November 2019. Prior to that Rocco Martin had a four-fight win streak snapped with a majority decision loss to fellow Brazilian, Demian Maia.
The card most likely to be elected as the main event is currently Amanda Nunes vs. Felicia Spencer, however, there is likely to be many more additions to the card.
