A potential matchup between Jorge Masvidal and Conor McGregor has been discussed lately with Masvidal having a phenomenal 2019 and McGregor making his return to the sport after a long lay-off.

Masvidal has made it clear that he wants the fight with McGregor next if “The Notorious” gets through Donald Cerrone on the 19th January. However, McGregor has displayed mixed messages on the bout with Masvidal recently stating that he would rather pursue a welterweight title shot against Kamaru Usman if he was to stay at the 170lb division.

Masvidal has now responded to the recent comments on Ariel Helwani’s MMA Show telling the former two-division champion to make up his mind.

“Yes, I would want that fight because it’s a big money fight, it’s a dude that’s a two-time champion, he has an impressive record and he comes to fight you know.”

However, Masvidal did go on to say that he isn’t a bully and he if McGregor doesn’t want the fight with him then that’s also fine and he will look to pursue a welterweight title shot against Kamaru Usman and believes he should get the shot at the title over McGregor.

“But if the dude doesn’t want to fight I’m not a bully man. Go fucking do your thing you know? He doesn’t want this? I don’t give a fuck then. You don’t want to fight then you don’t want to fight but don’t flirt with me. You want it or you don’t. Leave me the fuck alone if you don’t. I’m gonna go and take care of Usman. He’s talking about he wants the title fight with Usman, no no no, at ’70 I’m the way. I decide when Usman will fight, who he will fight, all that shit, everybody knows that. He might have the fucking belt but I’m the one calling the fucking shots.”
