The Nevada State Athletic Commission have hit another PFL fighter with a suspension as former Ultimate Fighter Season 13 finalist Ramsey Nijem failed a post-fight drug test. Nijem has been handed a 9 months suspension and was fined $3,750.

The fact that Nijem didn’t protest the outcome of the findings and also failed for marijuana as opposed to a PED is likely why he was handed a lower level suspension. Yesterday it was announced that PFL heavyweight Alex Nicholson was handed a four-year suspension after testing positive for three steroids.

The 31-year-old Palestinian American joined the PFL in 2018 after being released from the UFC. Nijem got his shot in the UFC after making it to the season 13 final of The Ultimate Fighter where he fell short against Tony Ferguson. Nijem ended his UFC tenure with a 5-5 record before heading over to the PFL where he currently holds a 1-2 record.
