Northern Ireland’s Rhys McKee makes the step up to the welterweight division and headlines Cage Warriors return to Ireland on 9th November. The show will take place at Neptune Stadium in Cork, Ireland and will be available on UFC Fight Pass.
McKee is coming off back to back stoppage wins and over Jefferson George and Perry Goodwin respectively. Speaking to Cage Warriors, McKee said he is delighted about Cage Warriors return to Ireland.
“I am delighted that Cage Warriors are coming back to Ireland, every time the show has been here it has never disappointed, and this one will be no different. I will put on an emphatic display and leave Cork with a solid finish.”
Although McKee will be topping the bill, Cage Warriors announced seven fighters for the show including some more up and coming Irish talent, most notably Ian Garry and Joe McColgan who both competed on the Cage Warriors Unplugged 2 event.
The highly touted 2-0 prospect, Garry, scored a stunning head kick knockout over Matteo Ceglia and will be looking to continue that streak and remain undefeated as he fights in his home country.
The more experienced McColgan is 5-2 in his professional career and most recently fought Mehdi Ben Lahkdar to a draw in an incredibly exciting fight.
Other confirmed names for the show include Cork, Ireland’s own Darren O’Gorman, Jack Maguire, John Mitchell and Arann Maguire.
