Cage Warriors have announced their return to the Indigo at the O2 Arena in London in March 2020 and have already bought some firepower to the card.
Liverpudlian, Paddy Pimblett, has been announced for the show, taking on Donovan Desmae. This marks the third time that Pimblett and Desmae have been scheduled to fight so hopefully “third time’s a charm” will come into play.
The most recent cancellation between the fighters was at Cage Warriors 111 where Desmae had to pull out due to an injury. Joe Gianetti then stepped in on short notice but missed weight by 7.7lbs leading to the fight being scrapped completely.
The Cage Warriors flyweight champion, Samir Faiddine, will also be defending his title on the card. Faiddine stopped Sam Creasey at Cage Warriors 106 to pick up the vacant flyweight title. Creasey will also be making an appearance on the card.
In a press release on their website, Cage Warriors President Graham Boylan stated that lots of fighters on the roster have been getting in touch requesting a place on the card.
“This is one of those cards that everyone on the roster wants a part of.
My phone has been blowing up with guys calling up asking for a spot on March 20th. When people look back on our biggest London shows of all time, this one will be part of the conversation, no question.”
The Cage Warriors show is set to take place on March 20th, the day before the UFC comes to the O2 Arena giving UK fans plenty of top MMA action.
