The Cage Warriors 113 show in London is coming together now with the promotion announcing that three more bouts have been added to the card today.
One of the bouts include Northern Ireland’s Joe McColgan returning to action to take on Rafael Macedo. McColgan is coming off a submission win over Robbie Scott at Cage Warriors 110 where he got secured a D’Arce choke to increase his record to 6-2-1. Prior to that McColgan competed in the 2019 Cage Warriors Fight of the Year with a majority decision draw against Mehdi Ben Lakhdhar.
He will face off against Brazilian Rafael “The Butcher” Macedo who boasts a record of 10-4-0. Macedo is currently riding a two-fight winning streak with his last bout being a split decision win over Manchester’s Kane Mousah under the Bellator banner.
McColgan is currently riding an undefeated streak himself going 2-0-1 in his last three fights with his last loss coming to former Cage Warriors lightweight champion turned UFC fighter, Jai Herbert.
McColgan and Macedo will both be looking to put on an impressive performance now the lightweight title has been vacated. Cage Warriors 113 provides the potential for lightweight fighters to make a statement and show why they should be next in line for a crack at the gold that has been held by many great fighters before.
Two other fights were also announced for the show including Jake Bond vs Adam Amarasinghe and Kris Edwards vs James Hendin.
Cage Warriors 113 will take place on March 20th at indigo at The O2 and is set to be headlined by two title fights as Samir Faiddine defends his flyweight title against Luke Shanks and Morgan Charriere gets his shot at interim featherweight gold against an opponent still to be confirmed.
