James Webb Set To Defend Middleweight Title At Cage Warriors London

James Webb is set to make the second defence of his Cage Warriors middleweight title at Cage Warriors London on the 22nd November. Cage Warriors London will take place at the Indigo at the O2, the place where the Colchester born Webb first won the vacant title by beating Norwegian Thomas Robertson with an arm triangle choke in the 3rd round.

Webb made the first defence of his title at the stacked Cage Warriors 106: Night of Champions event with a controversial majority draw over Nathias Frederick in what seemed like a very dominant performance for Webb. Frederick would have been given the decision if it wasn’t for a point deduction in the final round for spiking Webb.

A rematch seems like the logical fight to make next, but an opponent is still yet to be confirmed although Cage Warriors have confirmed an opponent is very close to being announced. Webb has expressed his desire to fight Frederick again.

“I want to do it because I want to get the win and because he didn’t bother me at all, I would do a lot of things differently in the rematch – stop mounting him for a start. I’ve done jiu-jitsu for a lot of years and no-one has ever just sat up when I’ve mounted them.
